PROTECT YOUR SKIN IN AUTUMN

Autumn with its various autumnal hues is a beautiful time of year. To keep your skin in tune with the seasons is also important.

  • Avoid skin becoming dry when turning on the heating by placing a bowl of water on the radiator or heater to keep the air moist and thus your skin moist.
  • Continue to drink lots of water, if weather gets too cold use warm water with a slice of lemon or ginger.  Avoid caffeine as this dehydrates the skin.
  • On the face use gentle cleansers to cleanse but leave skin supple and less vunerable to dryness and resulting problems.
  • Don’t forget to continue to moisturise the body after exposure to the elements in summertime.  Especially moisturise areas such as hands, feet, knees and elbows.
  • Give face and body time to absorb creams before applying make up or clothes. 7 – 10 minutes is ideal if you can manage that time.

IT CAN BE HARD KEEPING A STRAIGHT FACE AS A COURT REPORTER

ATTORNEY: What was the first thing your husband said to you that morning?
